KPR always believes that a work place should develop as a place of learning and growing. It supports community education to empower people at all levels to facilitate creation of high literate generations for sustainable livelihood. It helps the people to realize their potential and build a cohesive family.
The workfolk recruited from remote villages are provided with best learning amenities such as:
- Higher Education Programs
- Computer (I.T.) Education
- Vocational training courses such as Teacher Training, Tailoring, Nursing, etc.
KPR has tie-ups for higher education training programs with Annamalai University, Alagappa University and Tamilnadu Open University. Due to this thoughtful association, close to 41,000 of our employees were able to complete higher education as they pursued higher education during their employment and become self-reliant.
We have equipped our facilities with sufficient classrooms and competent teaching staff. Every year KPR contributes considerable amount towards higher education and empowerment of its employees.
KPR believes that while government’s initiatives towards primary education in small villages create literacy awareness among the people, the efforts of KPR facilitates up-gradation of their literacy levels to graduation.
As regards Higher Education to Employees, adding feather in the cap of our efforts to uplift their values, around 45 employees got placement in the on-campus selection conducted by some of the eminent entities under our intiative.
We are proud that KPR has made a commendable contribution that is acclaimed as one of the best in the corporate world.

Making best use of the excellent Higher education facilities and infrastructures extended by KPR, every year the Employees consistently add glory with their exemplary performance in the Government examinations with flying colors securing Gold Medals, CEMCA Awards and higher ranks etc.
2019
In the Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) 12th Convocation held at Thekkalur, 329 Employees, including 301 Under Graduates & 28 Post Graduates, received graduation Certificates from the Vice-Chancellor of TNOU. Among them, 5 were Gold Medalist, 15 were Rank holders and one Employee secured CEMCA Award.
2021
Under KPR Mill’s unique initiative for women employees last year we selected 52 employees to undergo ‘Placement training’. Extending all facilities at our College premises, they were given special training on different life skills empowering them to meet the expectations of the leading Recruiters and make them Industry ready. In the very first year of our outstanding attempt, out of 52 Employees trained by us, 45 got placement in various reputed Companies.
2022
At the 13th convocation of the Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) held at Chennai,
8 employees of KPR have secured Gold medals for securing First Ranks in various courses, from the Governor of Tamil Nadu and one Employee secured CEMCA Award.
100% results were achieved by employees in the 10th Standard and 12th Standard Government Examinations. As in every year, some of them are also Top Scorers and recognizing their achievement, KPR has awarded Scholarship for their collegiate education.
2023
100% results achieved by employees in Class 12 Government Examinations in 2023, and some of them are Top Scorers. Recognizing the achievement of those 4 Top Scorers KPR College of Arts Science and Research has awarded them full scholarship (including Bus & Hostel Fee) for their Collegiate Education.
2024
KPR Mill Limited has been steadfast in providing higher education facilities to its women employees embodying their commitment to social responsibility. The company takes immense pride in the fact that over 41,000 women workers have completed their higher education through this remarkable initiative. In the current academic year alone, more than 5,000 women are pursuing their higher studies and steadily increasing every year. With the high standard of education provided at KPR Mill, through excellent coaching of well – trained & experienced Teachers and best Infrastructures, every year its women employees prove their outstanding talent in the Government conducted Examinations securing Medals and Ranks.
At the 15th convocation ceremony of Tamil Nadu Open University, held on 21st October 2024 at Chennai, a total of 579 Employees were conferred their bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Among them, 11 were honoured with medals – 5 Gold (1st Rank), 3 silver (2nd Rank) and 3 bronze (3rd Rank)- for their exceptional academic performance, by the Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri R.N. Ravi.
On 25th January 2025, the 11th Convocation Ceremony for women employees of the KPR Group took place as a grand event at Thekkalur celebrating the remarkable achievements of the students. Each of the first-place winners received a cash gift of Rs.5,000, graciously presented by the KPR Group.
