A Better and Green Planet

GREEN INITIATIVE

KPR is committed to preserving this beautiful planet of ours for future generations. All products are ethically sourced, processed and delivered; right from the use of organic cotton as raw material to the finished product and final delivery.

The company follows a policy of effective waste management and pollution control to protect Mother Earth. Some of these initiatives include:

  • Effluent Treatment Plant (EFT) for waste water irrigation.
  • Zero wastage. Zero pollution.
  • 100% commitment to environment protection.

KPR has installed an ETP with capabilities to treat 5 mn litres/day, which enables the company to reuse 100% of the waste water to the process again. Zero discharge systems are achieved as per PCB norms.

Through these measures, KPR is committed to protect the fragile eco-system of the planet, which is our gift to our children, our future. Our ETP stands tall as a model recycling facility in this part of the world.

Green Power Generation

KPR, in its progressive move to generate power in eco-friendly ways and also become self-reliant in electricity production, has installed windmills at Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Theni and Coimbatore districts in Southern India. These windmills generate 61.92MW of captive power and cater to 40% of KPR’s power requirements.

If that’s not all, KPR has entered a newer avenue for green power. It participates in the ‘Sugar cum co-gen Project’ – a mega project that aims to generate electricity through eco-friendly route. Today, KPR is able to generate green power to fulfill its 100% power requirements.

Bio-Gas Generation

KPR has imbibed greener values into the community. It has helped to promote bio-gas generation, which reduces the usage of LPG in the neighbouring community.

Afforestation

Our concern for Mother Nature is what drives us to take special initiatives in planting more than 1,50,000 trees and diligently explore advanced scientific methods of afforestation.
